Newtown High School will host a Veterans Day celebration on Friday, November 9.

All local veterans are invited to attend the event, which is being co-hosted by American Legion Post 202.

A complimentary luncheon, prepared by Newtown High School Culinary, will be served to veterans at 11 am. A program will follow at 12:45.

The guest speaker is NHS 1988 Alumni and Command Sergeant Major Arthur Fredericks. A musical program will include performances by Newtown High School Singers and Newtown High School Wind Ensemble.

Members of American Legion Post 202 will present two Community Americanism Awards.

Veterans are invited for lunch and the program, or just the program.
