Kathi "Dee" F. Beck, 59, of Watertown died peacefully October 7, in the care of Vitas Hospice at St Mary's Hospital. She was born on April 26, 1957, in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Lois (Waehler) and Carl  Beck.

She grew up in Newtown and graduated from Newtown High School and Western Connecticut State University with a degree in psychology.

Ms Beck was proud to be employed at Siemens Diagnostics for almost 40 years as a manufacturing manager.

She loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and shopping.

Her sister, Karen Kayfus, and her husband, Frank, of Southbury; two brothers, Jon Beck of Morris and Randy Beck of Florida; her niece and nephews; great-nieces and great- nephews; uncles; and several cousins survive her.

A celebration of Ms Beck's life will be conducted at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 85 Mt Pleasant Road, Newtown, on October 15, at 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, cancer.org, or Christ the King Lutheran Church, ctklutherannewtown.org. The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, is serving the family.
