Letter of Endorsement
To the Editor:
It is pleasure to enthusiastically support Ann LoBosco Benore for town clerk. I have worked with Ann on many voluntary activities, for example, while I was on the Board of Education and on the Commission on Aging. Ann continues to volunteer, but more importantly, aside from the voluntary and compassionate work for which she is well known, she is also the most qualified and experienced candidate for town clerk. Here’s why:
Education — College Graduate: BS, human resource management, University of Connecticut 1985,
Town Clerk — Connecticut Certified Town Clerk (CCTC) 2010; assistant town clerk, Town of Newtown 2007–2010; Borough of Newtown Clerk 2010–present (many additional subtleties and intricacies in addition to regular duties).
Public service — Caseworker, Newtown Social Services, October 2010–present; member, Newtown Donations Coordination Team, 2013–present; member, Newtown Prevention Council, 2011–present.
Ann is Internet and computer savvy. Rather than continuously spend money to hire consultants, she can interact, interface, and bring our town clerk office up to date.
Ann has long lived in Newtown, raised her two sons, Charlie and Michael here, worked as an administrator for Newtown Pop Warner Football & Cheerleading for four years, and was co-president, Newtown Business and Professional Women.
Ann LoBosco Benore is the clearly the most experienced candidate for town clerk. Records need to be brought up to date. Costs can be saved with proper and efficient management. I encourage my fellow taxpayers to vote for experience, cost efficiency, and up-to-date recordkeeping, and effective management.
