WOODVILLE ANTIQUES SHOW TO DEBUT NOV. 9–11 w/1 cut

WOODVILLE, MISS. — The Woodville Antiques Show and Sale will hold its inaugural event November 9–11 at the spacious European Antique Auction gallery, where 20 dealers will showcase their wares. Admission is $5, good for all three days.

The Wilkinson County Museum presents a special exhibit, “The Fabric of Their Lives”: A Celebration of Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Quilts Created by Mississippi women.”

There are nearby antique malls and markets as well as on the historic Court House Square where shops dot the well preserved Historic District. The Woodville National Register District has more than 250 listed sites.

On Friday and Saturday, The Lewis-Sturgeon Home, an 1834 classic Federal columned house on Church Street, will open for tours from noon to 4 pm each day.

On Saturday night the town will roll out to enjoy another of its delightful social gatherings with a pull-out-all-the-stops Plantation Dinner Party at Indian Hills Plantation, with its wraparound galleries, just west of town on Pinckneyville Road where visitors will be pleasured by a jazz band from Natchez, tasty local cuisine, and a gorgeous candle lit setting.
