Total Tech Fair Oct 17

HARTFORD — Talking computers, tools which help people get around, devices which promote a safer home environment, and other devices known as assistive technology will be on display at Total Technology 2000. The event, Connecticut’s premier assistive technology trade fair, is Tuesday, October 17, 10 am to 5:30 pm, at the Connecticut Expo Center in Hartford.

People of all ages and all disabilities are invited to see the latest developments in assistive technology devices and services. Parking and admission are free.

People’s Bank and the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services’ Connecticut Technology Act Project are sponsoring this event. The Connecticut Technology Act Project is funded by a grant from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research.

People’s Bank has joined the project to offer low-interest loans for people with disabilities to borrow money to pay for expensive devices and services.

The Connecticut Expo Center is located at 265 Reverend Moody Overpass in Hartford. Take exit 33 off I-91 or take the Hartford city bus #W3 or #W4. For more information, call the Connecticut Tech act Project at 800/537-2549 or visit www.techact.uconn.edu on the Internet.
