To The Editor:

I am writing to support the candidacy of Michelle Embree Ku to represent Newtown as the 106th district State Representative.

There are many things that distinguish Michelle and make her the best candidate to represent Newtown in Hartford:

Michelle has demonstrated service in and for Newtown including on the Board of Education, Legislative Council, and Board of Selectmen. With this experience she understands the many facets and needs of our community.

In her capacity as a public servant and community member, Michelle has focused on solving problems and delivering results for the many stakeholders she serves.

Michelle listens. She takes the time to understand complex issues including doing research, asking questions and ensuring she understands the various perspectives of constituents.

Michelle works across the aisle. She considers the needs of all community members, not just those that vote for her.

Michelle has an unwavering commitment to our community. Her balanced, thoughtful and informed perspectives will ensure we are represented well in Hartford.
