Dazzled By McCabe
To the Editor:
Very recently, on a chilly October morning, I had the pleasure of meeting and conversing with Michelle Lapine McCabe, who is a candidate for the Connecticut State Senate (28th District). If she gets the seat and represents Newtown (among other sections of bordering towns), I can firmly say that I believe that she will work for the Newtown and Connecticut that we all cherish.
My first impression was that she was quite friendly, authentic, and approachable. I do know that she enjoys getting out there, meeting residents, and engaging in intelligent, productive, conversation. But when I was able to listen to her actually speak of her passion for improving Connecticut’s businesses, economy, support for commonsense gun laws, as well as a desire for uniting both Democrats and Republicans to work together, I was dazzled. She undoubtedly brings a sense of hope that Newtown and Connecticut will ultimately prosper from if we all work together and support Michelle by voting for her on November 6th.
As a Sandy Hook resident and a mom, I’ve had the honor of witnessing our community’s immense kindness, strength, and resiliency in the last few years. This is still a beautiful town with awe-inspiring people who deserve to have the kind of leadership that Michelle McCabe will diligently work hard to represent in our State Senate.
Respectfully Submitted,
