Richard P. Manzo

Served Local Union 488 In Many Capacities

Richard P. Manzo 68, of Newtown, died October 1, in his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgeport May 13, 1940, he was an area resident all of his life.

Mr Manzo was a member of the Local Union 488 for 42 years and served with honor and distinction in many capacities, including president, executive board member, assistant business manager, outing chairmen, JATC, negotiating committee, scholarship committee, and superintendent for Valenti Electric on the Union Carbide job.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Ann (Palmer) Manzo; four children, Cammi Modlesky, Kippi LeBlanc, Rick Manzo, and Kerri Swenson; three sisters, Grace, Vera, and Carmella; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private, at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations in his name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
