Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Â
Members of Boy Scout Troop 270, their families, friends, and associates gathered Saturday, September 20, at the Dickinson Park pavilion to celebrate the organizationâs 50th anniversary.
Various speakers congratulated the scouts on the anniversary, commending the boys for the positive work that the organization pursues.
Selectman Herb Rosenthal was among those speaking at the event.
Among the activities was a Court of Honor, which was opened by Thomas DiLuoffo, who is the outgoing senior patrol leader, and Tyler Hanna, who is the incoming senior patrol leader.   Â
Those attending the anniversary enjoyed warm late summer weather at the cookout, as scouts and their families socialized with past scouts and past scout leaders who were present at the event.
The troop holds its regular meetings at the Dodgingtown Firehouse on Route 302 in Dodgingtown. Peter Lubinsky is the scoutmaster.
