WCFCU Gets Federal Approval

 To Expand Service Area

Ed O’Malley, President and CEO of Western Connecticut Federal Credit Union (WCFCU), announces that WCFCU is now a community federal credit union for the Housatonic Valley region. The credit union can now accept membership from everyone who lives, works, worships, attends school, and business owners in the towns of Danbury, Brookfield, Newtown, New Fairfield, Redding, Bethel, New Milford, Bridgewater, Ridgefield, and Sherman.

A credit union member receives many amenities such as a full line of financial products, competitive loan and saving rates, and friendly, professional service. All member accounts are insured up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Association, an agency of the federal government. There is no membership fee to join WCFCU.

WCFCU, located at 15 Berkshire Road, Sandy Hook, offers regular, Christmas, and vacation saving, CDs, checking, IRA accounts, and all types of loans: credit card, auto, mortgage, home equity, personal, and consolidation. There are 5,000 members and assets total $19,000,000.
