To the Editor,

Like so many towns across our nation, Newtown faces a number of challenges. In the upcoming election, residents of District 2 have an opportunity to vote for Legislative Council representatives that have the skills, the experience, and the dedication to lead our town toward a path of fiscal responsibility while maintaining the quality of life we seek. Dan Wiedemann has represented District 2 in the past. He has a strong finance background and commitment to our community. As a 25-year-plus resident of Sandy Hook, Dan has been actively involved in our town, and has the experience we need to represent us. His platform includes a desire to maintain a fiscally balanced future for Newtown by looking to keep taxes in check and budgets in line while servicing the residents of our town. His more than 30 years of experience in the finance industry will certainly be a strong asset to the community. During my personal interactions with him I find Dan to be an attentive, respectful, effective communicator. We need a person like Dan Wiedemann to represent us. I encourage voters to elect Dan Wiedemann to the Legislative Council for District 2.
