To The Editor:

It is with great excitement that I write in support of Jim Gaston for a position on the Newtown Board of Finance.

As a lifelong Newtown resident, I’ve been truly blessed to grow up in such an amazing community; an exuberant town with individuals I admire and look up to.

Jim Gaston is one of those individuals; a recognized community leader and resource to many. Jim’s leadership is well documented from his participation on boards and commissions for over 20 years, a passionate volunteer who has helped structure our town forward.

It is, however, his character that sets him apart. His ability to speak up at a time in need and support individuals who believe in a cause — true leadership in my eyes.

Jim is a well-balanced, smart, dollar-savvy individual, which is why I know his knowledge will be positively felt on the Newtown Board of Finance.

Join me on Tuesday, November 3, in continuing to allow Jim Gaston to serve our community with the dignity and respect it so deserves.
