As the weather begins to cool, volunteers at The EverWonder Experience have some special events planned for residents of all ages. All are free.

Volunteers from the museum will be participating in The Great Pumpkin Race presented by Newtown Lions Club on Saturday, October 19, so the museum, usually open on Saturdays from 10 am until 3 pm, will be closed that day.

EverWonder Halloween Celebration will be offered on Wednesday, October 30. Children are encouraged to put on their costumes and head to the museum’s temporary location at 31 Pecks Lane. Guests will enjoy making Spooky Shadow Puppets and Silly Pumpkin collages.

Parents can choose to visit during the morning session, which will run from 9:30 am until noon, or the afternoon session, from 1 to 3:30 pm (the Experience will be closed noon to 1 pm).

Monthly play dates will be offered on the first Wednesday of each month, beginning November 6.

Looking for a change of venue for your play dates? Beginning in November, EverWonder will its doors to playgroups and anyone else who wishes to visit on the first Wednesday of each month from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm. Activities will be tailored for children up to age 5.

Parents and children do not need to be a part of a playgroup to participate in these sessions. For those who are new to town, this is a great way to meet other moms.

Cabin Fever Wednesdays will also begin next month. Every Wednesday afternoon, from noon to 3 pm, the museum will offer fun activities.

The EverWonder Experience, at 31 Pecks Lane, can be reached for additional information at 203-364-4009. Information is also available online at www.everwondermuseum.org.

The museum’s regular hours are Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm and Sundays, noon to 3 pm.
