Scott Switzer & Kristen Provost

Lauren and Wayne Provost of Sandy Hook announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen, to Scott Switzer, son of Micki Beebe Switzer and Russell Switzer of Anderson, S.C. Scott proposed to Kristen on July 25 while the couple was in Aspen, Colo.

Kristen is a 2004 graduate of Newtown High School. She continued her studies at the University of Miami and Northeastern University, and is employed as a music teacher for Music Teachers Network, LLC.

Scott is a 2004 graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy, and then attended Eastman School of Music and Yale University. He is continuing his work toward his master’s of music at Yale.

A May 2011 wedding is being planned.
