Registrars List Dates To Remember

The Registrar of Voters’ office reminds residents of some dates to keep in mind related to the upcoming municipal election on November 3.

October 17: The Registrar of Voters’ office will be open from 10 am until 2 pm to register voters in the registrars’ office in Edmond Town Hall.

October 20 is the last day to mail in voter registration cards. Any cards received after that date must be postmarked on or before the 20th or brought in to the registrars’ office.

October 27: The Registrar of Voters’ office will be open from 9 am until 8 pm. The registrars are slated to move to the new municipal building on October 23. So this session should be held in the new office at 3 Primrose Street at Fairfield Hills. The town website will be updated if this session will be held at the old location.

November 3: Election Day. Newtown was awarded the Democracy Cup for highest voter turnout in a large town for the Presidential Election. The registrars ask residents to please remember to vote on November 3. The registrars are hoping that Newtown will again have the highest turnout, which will enable the town to become a two-time winner of the Democracy Cup.
