Pancake Breakfast Welcomed
Male Role Models At Middle Gate
Roughly 280 significant male role models were welcomed on Thursday at Middle Gate School for the first day of a two-day Pancake Breakfast event.
Lori Carriero, organizer for the project, said 24 bottles of syrup, 40 boxes of pancake mix, 24 cans of whip cream, and three big bags of chocolate chips were needed for the two-day morning events.
This was the seventh annual Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the Parent Teacher Association at the school, and fathers, or other significant male role models, were welcome to eat pancakes with their Middle Gate students before school started and get a tour of the school.
Math/science specialist Pam Fagan once again flipped bear-shaped pancakes for students to enjoy, working along with other volunteers who helped fry pancakes, mix batter, and add toppings.
âIt went well,â said Ms Carriero Thursday morning. âWe have good volunteers.â
