Mr & Mrs Jonathan Pirro

Erin Elizabeth Sepe, daughter of Peter and Carolyn Sepe of Sandy Hook, and Jonathan David Pirro, son of Janice Porri of Windsor and David Pirro of Simsbury, were joined in marriage on August 15, 2009, at the United Methodist Church of Southampton in Southampton, N.Y. The Reverends Dr Paul Samuelson and Koonae Lee were the officiating clergy.

The water’s edge reception on the sparkling summer Saturday afternoon was held on Bascom Field at Fairview Farm, home of the bride’s aunt and uncle, in Bridgehampton, N.Y.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a floor-length ivory satin halter neck gown accented by pearls and crystal beading around the empire waist.  The fingertip veil, sparkling with pearls and tiny crystal beads, was held in place by a matching pearl and crystal tiara. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white dahlias surrounding magenta Awaikoe dahlias.

The maid of honor, Hilary Sepe, sister of the bride, of Fremont, Mich., wore a floor-length gown of royal blue satin and carried a hand-tied bouquet of coral and yellow dahlias and snapdragons.

Bridesmaids were Carolyn Morrison of Putnam, Lori Staib of Agawam, Mass., and Joanna Samuelson of Suffield. Each attendant wore the same royal blue color as the maid of honor, with distinct and individual design variations. The blossoms in their hand-tied bouquets were individual flower choices, designed to coordinate with the boutonnieres worn by the groomsmen.

All flowers for the attendants, church, and reception were grown and handpicked at Fairview Farm gardens and were arranged by the bride, her attendants, aunt, and grandmother.

Brian Pirro of East Hartland served as his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Jeffrey Pirro of Granby, Peter Enot of Windsor, and Kevin Jezouit of Windsor.

Andrea Robinson, cousin of the groom from Wethersfield, was the flower girl. She carried a small dahlia bouquet and her white dress was beribboned in royal blue satin. Dominick Pirro of Granby, nephew of the groom, was the junior ring bearer.

Family and friends continued the celebration of Erin and Jonathan’s marriage with a wedding breakfast at the reception site the next morning.

After the festivities, the bride and groom relaxed at Water’s Edge Resort in Westbrook. They are planning a honeymoon in French Polynesia for late autumn.

Erin and Jonathan live in Granby. Erin Pirro is a farm business consultant for First Pioneer Farm Credit. Jonathan is a journeyman lineman for CL&P.
