Altercation
Altercation
Police report that they were called to 7 Lyrical Lane on October 1 to settle a dispute that had occurred between a person attempting to repossess a 2008 Ford Expedition SUV there and a couple at that property.
After investigating, police charged Vincent DiBernardino, 42, of that address, with disorderly conduct and with interfering with police. Also, police charged Christina DiBernardino, 30, of that address, with disorderly conduct.
Police said that both persons were released on written promises to appear October 13 in Danbury Superior Court.
Warrant
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Matthew Tricarico, 23, of Danbury turned himself over to police at the police station on the afternoon of September 30 and was charged with third-degree assault and with breach of peace, police said.
Police report that the arrest stems from an incident that occurred on April 29 at Hot Shots Grille, Restaurant & Tap Room at 130 Mt Pleasant Road.
Police released Tricarico on $5,000 bail for an October 14 court appearance.
Police had arrested a New Milford man on a warrant on the night of September 29 in connection with that same incident.
Botsford Break-In
Sometime between 9 pm on September 28, and 8:30 am on September 29, someone broke into the Botsford Drive-In, a fast food stand at 282 South Main Street, police said.
A rear window was damaged in the break-in. The intruder or intruders stole about $20 in loose change.
Police are investigating the case of second-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny, and third-degree criminal mischief, and ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them at 426-5841.
Volvo Off Road
Neither the driver nor any of the four children riding as passengers in a vehicle were injured in an October 2 accident on Hopewell Road, police said.
Motorist Frank Marmo, 39, of Washington, D.C., was driving a 2004 Volvo XC-90 station wagon southward on Hopewell Road, near the Redding town line, at about 6:38 pm when the Volvo went off the road and struck a tree along the right road shoulder, police said.
Neither Marmo nor four child passengers were injured because all five were wearing seatbelts, police said. Police said they verbally warned Marmo for making a restricted turn.
Constricted Area
On the afternoon of September 26, motorist Laura King, 42, of 31 Meadow Brook Road was driving a 1995 Chevrolet K-1500 pickup truck southward on South Main Street, south of Sand Hill Plaza, in a roadwork zone where the travel lanes were constricted, police said.
At that time, an unknown large truck was traveling northward there. As the vehicles passed one another in opposite directions, the side of the unknown truck struck the exterior left rear-view mirror of the Chevrolet, police said. King was not injured.
The offending truck was described as the type of vehicle used by a landscaping firm or a tree service. Police are investigating and ask anyone with information on the offending trucker to contact them at 426-5841.
New Beetle
Motorist Danielle Yacko, 17, of Danbury was driving a 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle northward near 225 Berkshire Road (Route 34) about 11:08 pm on September 26, when the auto went off the right road shoulder and struck a utility pole, according to police.
Yacko told police she did not know why the collision occurred, police said. Yacko was not injured. Police issued her an infraction for making a restricted turn and for failure to carry an automotive insurance identification card.
Dangerous Curve
Police report a motor vehicle accident on a hazardous curving section of Castle Hill Road, near its intersection with King Street.
Motorist Stephanie Bonacci, 19, of 45 Platts Hill Road was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt coupe eastward on Castle Hill Road about 9:54 pm September 28, when while negotiating a curve in the road, the Chevrolet began to skid, police said.
Bonacci attempted to compensate for the skid, but the auto went off the left road shoulder and struck an embankment, police said.
Bonacci was not injured. Police issued her a written warning for making a restricted turn.

Hanover Deer
Motorist Antoinette Catalina, 55, of 59 Butterfield Road was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Suburban SUV northward near 110 Hanover Road about 6:30 pm September 29, when a deer jumped out onto the road and collided with the vehicle, police said. Catalina was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Toyota Vs Jeep
About 3:20 pm September 29, motorist Amy Andras, 26, of 30 South Main Street was driving a 2000 Jeep Cherokee eastward on Berkshire Road and then stopped at its intersection with Bennetts Bridge Road in order to make a left turn onto that street, police said.
Eastbound motorist James Downs, 57, of 265 Berkshire Road, who was driving a 1998 Toyota Corolla, then attempted to pass the Jeep on the right, but instead the Toyota collided with the Jeep, police said.
There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Downs for passing on the right.
South Main Crash
Motorist John Tully, 41, of Brewster, N.Y., who was driving a 2003 Honda Accord sedan southward near 71 South Main Street about 6:49 pm October 1, stopped and then attempted to make a left turn, but collided with northbound motorist Valerie Griffin, 47, of 59 Bears Hill Road, who was driving a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder SUV, police said.
There were no injuries. Police gave Tully a written warning for failure to grant the right of way.
I-84 Collision
About 8:38 pm on October 2, motorist Susan Budris, 49, of Watertown was driving a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta in the right lane of two lanes on eastbound Interstate 84, near Exit 9, as Vickie Meadows, 51, of Clifton Forge, Va., was driving a 2006 International truck in the left lane, state police said.
The truck then changed lanes and collided with the car, state police said. There were no injuries. State police said that Meadows was at fault in the accident.

Noise Enforcement
In response to complaints, police set up a motorcycle noise enforcement project on Glen Road, near its intersection with Walnut Tree Hill Road, on the afternoon of September 26.Â
Police observed six motorcyclists pass through the area, but no noise violations were noted.
Vehicles, including motorcycles, that have modified mufflers intended to increase the vehiclesâ noise output are illegal in Connecticut, police said. Such equipment violations carry a $225 fine.
Pickup Vs Pickup
About noon on October 5, motorist Frederick Kasbarian, 70, of 1 Brassie Road, who was driving a 1988 Dodge Dakota pickup truck, was exiting a commercial parking lot at 61 Church Hill Road and was attempting to make a right turn, as motorist Eric Ralston, 38, of 61 Capitol Drive, who was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger pickup truck, was traveling westward on Church Hill Road, police report.
The two vehicles collided. There were no injuries. Police said they verbally warned Kasbarian for failure to grant the right of way.
Dodgingtown Center
A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Dodgingtown Road, Taunton Hill Road, and Jacklin Road in Dodgingtown Center about 2:23 pm October 3.
Police said motorist Gavin Anderson, 19, of Loa, Utah, was driving a 2007 Mazda 3 sedan westward on Taunton Hill Road, as motorist Shawn Wade, 45, of Redding Ridge was driving a 2003 Dodge 1500 pickup truck southward on Dodgingtown Road. Each vehicle carried three passengers, according to police.
The Mazda attempted to stop for a traffic signal at the intersection, but skidded into the intersection, where it was struck by the Dodge, police said. Two passengers from each of the two vehicles were transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment of injuries, police said. Dodgingtown firefighters went to the accident.
Police said they issued Anderson an infraction for failure to obey a traffic control signal and for traveling too fast for conditions.
Fairfield Hills
About 1:37 pm October 4, two vehicles collided on eastbound Wasserman Way at its intersection with Trades Lanes at Fairfield Hills.
The accident involved motorist Elisabeth Babington, 43, of Fairfield, who was driving a 2006 Lexus IS-470 SUV, and motorist Ciro Diiorio, 61, of 37 Dodgingtown Road, who was driving a 1990 Dodge Dakota pickup truck, police said. The collision occurred when the Lexus attempted to make a turn, police report.
There were no injuries. Police issued Babington a written warning for making a restricted turn.
Attempted Burglary
Police said they responded to a burglar alarm at Misty Vale Deli at 51 Berkshire Road about 8:28 pm October 1.
Someone had attempted to enter the building, police said. The crimes committed were second-degree criminal mischief and criminal attempt to commit third-degree burglary. Police ask anyone with information on the incident to contact Officer Steven Siecienski at the police station at 426-5841.
Mishap
Trucker Boris Campillo, 43, of The Bronx, N.Y., was backing up a commercial 2008 International truck through the intersection of Maplewood Terrace and Brook Bridge Drive when the truck skidded, hit a curb and then struck some fencing at about 3:40 pm September 30, police said.
Campillo was not injured. Sandy Hook firefighters responded to the incident. Police issued Campillo a written warning for unsafe backing.
