Music Of The Past For Children In The Future

NEW MILFORD — The Platters and The Drifters will be in New Milford to perform a benefit concert for The Children’s Center of New Milford. On Saturday, November 4, at 8 pm, the brand-new New Milford High School auditorium will be filled with the classic sounds of the 50s – “Only You,” “My Prayer,” “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes,” “Under the Boardwalk,” “This Magic Moment” and “A Lover’s Question” are some of the songs of the past that will help the children of the future.

The Children’s Center is a non-profit childcare facility that is entering its 29th year of service to the community. In the course of that time, the center has touched the lives of nearly 3,000 children and countless families.

Tickets for The Platters and The Drifters are $20 each for general admission seating, and $40 each for preferred seating. Call The Children’s Center, at 860/354-1883, to reserve tickets or for additional information.
