To the Editor:

I am proud to write to you in support of my friend, Alison Plante, for the Legislative Council (D3). Alison and I first met when her son, Julian, and my daughter, Sophia, started childcare together as infants five years ago. As our children grew, so did our families, and soon Alison’s daughter, Caroline, and my daughter, Gianna, were in childcare together as well. As our children became friends, their names becoming part of conversations at home, soon Alison and I developed a friendship of our own. We quickly bonded over our shared experiences of balancing full-time careers and family.

Alison is one of the smartest women I know, and she is exceptionally generous with her time and energy. Alison is supportive, kind, unbelievably funny, and exactly who you want by your side in moments of difficulty or celebration. I value her opinion, trust her implicitly, and have the utmost confidence that Alison will be a positive addition to our Legislative Council.

Alison Plante is exactly who our community needs. She has tremendous respect and love for Newtown and will work her hardest to ensure that our families are supported, our voices are heard, and that decisions are made for the benefit of our community.
