Vehicle Incinerated

Firefighters from Hawleyville, Hook & Ladder, and Sandy Hook responded to 32 Pond Brook Road last Sunday, following a call to report car fire. The resident of that address was also concerned that the fire, which had fully engulfed the vehicle when the first responders arrived on the scene, would spread to a nearby barn on the property. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the vehicle, however, although it looked to be a total loss when the fire was put out.                            —Bee Photo, Hicks
