To the Editor:
Chris Lyddy is a state representative who epitomizes what it means to be involved in your community. A native of Newtown, a graduate of our public schools, he has continued to be an active, engaged member of our community, and it is one of the things I value most about his dedication to the job of state representative.
As a volunteer firefighter, I am constantly impressed with Chris Lyddyâs commitment to Newtown. He is always there to support the Sandy Hook Firehouse at the LobsterFest, and was there to show his support for Hook and Ladder at their inaugural motorcycle ride this fall. As a volunteer in our community, I appreciate that Chris Lyddy takes the time to acknowledge and support our hard work. As a fellow public servant, I am proud to support someone who has clearly shown he supports our community.
By being engaged in our community, Chris is better able to do his job. He hears what Newtown people are saying because he is always around town. Whenever there is an event, Chris Lyddy is there. Heâs there to support causes in our town, to listen to people, and to lend a helping hand to those who need it.
Iâd like to thank Chris for his hard work and dedication on our behalf these past two years. Itâs nice to know that we have someone in Hartford who is engaged in our community and aware of the issues we face. Itâs equally important that he is someone who doesnât just appear at campaign season, but someone we see around town throughout the year on a regular basis. Iâm proud to be voting for Chris Lyddy this election, and hope you will join me in reelecting him on November 2!
