Adults Who Have Lost An Adult Sibling Offered Support

DANBURY — The death of a sibling is a tragedy for the entire family, not just for parents. To help support the special grief experienced by siblings, Healing Hearts will offer a free workshop “When You Have Lost an Adult Sibling” to be held on October 13, from 7 to 8:30 pm.

The workshop will take place at The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families at 73 Stadley Rough Road.

Anyone who has lost a sibling as an adult is welcome to discuss his or her grief. Participants will be offered insight and learn strategies to help cope with their loss.

The workshop facilitator is Marita Repole, EdD, a psychologist for Danbury Public Schools who brings extensive experience in assessment and counseling. The Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children & Families, a program of Regional Hospice, offers numerous support groups, workshops and programs to the public free of cost throughout the year.

For more information or to participate in the upcoming workshop, call Healing Hearts at 203-792-4422. To find out more about Regional Hospice, visit www.RegionalHospiceCT.org.
