To the Editor:

I can’t wait to go to the polls this November 2. I can’t wait to cast my vote for Jordana Bloom. Jordana is running for Newtown’s town clerk, which gives us all an opportunity to cast a most meaningful vote.

Jordana is smart, meticulously organized, detailed oriented, and dedicated to making Newtown not only nicer, but better. She has considerable experience, both in serving the public through government positions and in the private sector. Jordana has not only successfully run her own business, but has served two terms on the Legislative Council, on the Ordinance and Education subcommittees, and as vice chair of the Municipal Operations subcommittee. It’s time to make her town clerk.

What’s more, Jordana is a caring and compassionate person, someone I am always happy to see when I have the good fortune to run into her in town. It’s not surprising that she has great ideas for improving the functioning of the town clerk’s office and making it more user-friendly. What a treat it would be to be greeted by her genuine smile and trusting eyes when dealing with any sort of vital records (birth, death, marriage and civil unions...), dog licenses, voting matters, or any of the myriad tasks the town clerk is entrusted with.

Let’s make it happen. Lets get to the polls and elect Jordana Bloom as our next town clerk.
