To the Editor:

I am writing to endorse Chris Smith for Newtown’s legislative council. I have known Chris for over 15 years. In the time that I have known him, I have found him to be a person of integrity and thoughtfulness. Chris is fair and open-minded and listens to all sides when making a decision. He is a hard worker and detail oriented.

Chris follows through on his commitments with consistency. Chris cares deeply about Newtown and the issues confronting it. During his time in office, Chris has supported the Board of Education, the ordinance for the plastic bags, and mask mandates.

Let’s continue moving Newtown forward with strong leadership such as Chris Smith’s. He has proven to be a council member who is diligent and makes deliberate and careful decisions in the best interest of Newtown. Let’s re-elect Chris for Legislative Council!
