Some Facts About Voting In This Election
To the Editor:
My co-registrar LeReine [Frampton] and I would like to pass along some factual information regarding this election.
We would like to thank the hundreds of voters that volunteered to be poll workers. Figuring out where to put people, how many workers we need where and balancing Democrat and Republican workers has been, to say the least, challenging. Please return the paperwork so we can finalize our positions and work on the training portion.
We have gotten many calls regarding absentee ballots. If the post office delivered someone else’s ballot to your address, please put it back in your mailbox indicating resend to correct address or, if close, drop it to the proper recipient.
When checking to see if you are registered and have a hyphenated last name, please check various ways of listing your name.
We will find out when your absentee ballot is returned to the Town Clerk. We will be posting lists of those entered into the system — we cannot check them otherwise. If you need to have any information other than that regarding your absentee ballot, please call the Town Clerk’s office at 203-270-4210.
Whether you choose to vote absentee or in person, please remember to vote.
Thank you,
Erica Canfield
