To the Editor:

On Sunday, September 29, 2013 the Newtown Hook and Ladder Co. #1 hosted the Fourth Annual Firehouse Ride. This ride was created in an effort to raise funds for the new construction of a much needed firehouse. We would like thank all the sponsors, riders, donors, neighboring fire companies, and friends who gathered together to support this cause.

With over 125 registered motorcycles, and  a crowd of nearly 300 people, the ride was a huge success, doubling the funds raised in the past.

In addition, we are pleased to make a contribution to the Sandy Hook Family Healing Fund. We truly appreciate the towns' support  especially the One Eyed Pig for hosting us, and Monsignor Bob Weiss for blessing the riders and the event.
