Double Rollover

State police report a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 84 about 8:40 pm on October 1 in which both vehicles rolled over after impact.

Motorist Valerea Arevelo, 17, of Danbury, who was driving a 1995 Honda Civic westward on I-84 about 4,000 feet east of Exit 9, swerved and then struck motorist Vihang Dholakia, 48, of 33 Charter Ridge Road, who was driving a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country minivan, state police said.

Both vehicles then left the pavement and overturned, state police said.

Newtown Ambulance Corps members transported Arevelo and Chrysler passenger Alpana Dholakia, 45, of 33 Charter Ridge Road to Danbury Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, state police said.

Newtown Hook & Ladder volunteer firefighters responded to the accident scene, officials said.

Enforcement information was not available.
