Tickets for the Fairfield show do not seem to be available yet, but keep an eye on the theaterâs website, FairfieldTheatre.org.
*Speaking of Infinity Music Hall, tickets are still available for next weekendâ show by A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS. Not only that, but in celebration of âthe epic style impact of the bandâ (says Infinityâs website), the show will include an 80s New Wave Costume Contest.

*311 will bring their unique sounds to Mohegan Sun Arena with special guest DJ Sowman in support of their latest album Universal Pulse, on Saturday, December 3, at 8 pm.

Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun box office starting Saturday, October 8, subject to availability.
*SHAWN TAYLOR and JIM McKEEMAN, a stripped down version of the Wandering Roots Band, will play McLaughlin Vineyard in Sandy Hook on, Sunday, October 16, from 1 to 4 pm, for the last time this year. Admission is free and patrons may bring a picnic lunch. Music is rain or shine under the tent.
The Wandering Roots are Taylorâs rotating collective of musicians that began with Taylorsâ â08 debut release Wandering Roots. They have played the vineyard a dozen times in the last two years, and the Newtown Parks & Recreation Sumemr Concert series for the last three years running. Taylor and McKeeman have collaborated for 12 years.
âThe duo format allows us to focus more on the actual songs and the stories behind them,â Taylor said this week via press release. The guitar-vocal duo will play original songs from Taylorsâ two releases (Free and the aforementioned Wandering Roots), and cover artists such as Bob Dylan, Kebâ Moâ, Van Morrison, Lyle Lovett, Johnny Cash, and The Grateful Dead.Â
*This weekend, however, Newtown based DOUG WAHLBERG BAND will return to The Georgetown Saloon in Redding.
Showtime for the Saturday, October 8 show is 9 pm.
*In addition to his weekly Wednesday night shows at Two Boots in Bridgeport (8-11 pm) and Friday night gigs at Stone River Grille in Sandy Hook (8-9 pm doing solo acoustic guitar and vocals, then the rest of the night on bongo drums doing DJ work), Newtown musician JOE PROC also has a pair of shows coming up this month.
Joe will be appearing as DJ Bongo Joe at Nuvo, 238 Post Road in Fairfield, on Saturday, October 15, from 10 pm until closing.
He will then return to My Place Restaurant, on Queen Street in Newtown, on Thursday, October 21, for a performance with Julie Ketchum. The two will be starting up around 8:30 and are billing themselves as JOLIE.
