Vipers 15, New Fairfield 10 – A 10-run first inning carried the Vipers past New Fairfield. David Lucia, Ben Stoller and Jeff Grasso had two hits, two runs scored and two RBIs apiece. Michael Allwein also knocked in two runs and scored three times. Richard Sandler was the winning pitcher, striking out four of the eight hitters he faced. Nicky Sajovic hurled two brilliant innings, retiring all six batters, including three who looked at third strikes. Cole Baldino also pitched a shutout inning with two strikeouts. The win upped the Vipers’ record to 5-3.

Vipers 17, BASE Technologies 10 – David Lucia collected three hits (including a double and a triple), drove in three runs, and scored four runs to lead the Vipers to the win. Richard Sandler rapped out two hits and scored four runs while Michael Allwein and John Lebinski each slapped two hits. Dan Aurelia blasted a triple for the Vipers in a 10-run fifth inning. Baseline Technologies was led by Joe Davis, who smashed a three-run homer and pitched two scoreless innings. Mike Greenwood and Colin Cooper each had two hits.

Big Red Machine 9, Nighthawks 9 – Ryan King and Harry Depuy each stroked two hits and scored twice to lead the Big Red Machine. King, Depuy and Liam McInerney each doubled and Jack Beal delivered a big two-out, run-scoring single to help bring The Machine back from a three run deficit. Darryl Silverlieb led the Nighthawks with a career day: a three-run homer and a three-run triple with two solid innings on the mound. Devon Palilla, Will Swain and Sean McCafferty also had big days at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored.

The Thunder 7, Red Wave 4 – The Thunder won their first game of the year on the pitching strength of Matt Argraves, Matt Hess and Brandon O’Sullivan.  Nicholas Eisele was the hitting star, going 3-for-3 with a double. Michael Lally also had a great game with two hits.
