On Women’s Health, Happiness

WESTPORT — “Women, Health and Happiness: Recreating Balance in Our Lives,” is the topic to be explored by Lisa Goldenberg and Allegra Themmen, from 7 to 8 pm, October 19, in the Community Room of Hall-Brooke Behavioral Health Services, 47 Long Lots Road.

Ms Goldenberg is a licensed clinical social worker; Ms Themmen is a licensed professional counselor.

The event is part of a series of monthly lectures facilitated by Hall-Brooke’s professional staff and presented free of charge as a service to the community. Light refreshments will be served.

Hall-Brooke has taken a leading role in the concern for mental health issues that relate specifically to women. Its ongoing Women’s Intensive Outpatient Program (WIOP), meets Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 to 12:30 pm. WIOP offers group therapy in symptom management, relationship issues, transitions in adulthood, and mind body and spirit.

The upcoming lecture provides an opportunity, without any obligation to learn specifics on WIOP, as well as self help instructions on maintaining good mental health in today’s stress-filled environment.
