DUI Charge
Police report they stopped motorist Shari L. Burton, 38, of 107 Glen Road, Sandy Hook, near 28 Church Hill Road after they saw Burton violate a traffic control signal at the intersection of Church Hill Road and Queen Street about 9:48 pm September 30.
Police said that after performing field sobriety testing, they charged Burton with driving under the influence and failure to obey a traffic control signal. After posting $50 bail, police released Burton for an October 18 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Motorcycle DUI
Police said they saw motorcyclist Fredrick J. Aley, 61, of Redding weaving on the road and crossing the roadâs center line while driving westward on Route 302 about 7:25 pm October 2, so they stopped him to investigate.
Police said they charged Aley with driving under the influence and with failure to drive to the right. After posting $50 bail, police released Aley for an October 18 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Warrant
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, James Murchison, 37, of Altmar, N.Y., turned himself over to police on October 4 and was charged with failure to appear in court, driving under the influence, and following too closely.
Police said the motor vehicle violations stem from a January 2003 incident.
Police held Murchsion on $1,500 bail for arraignment October 4 in Danbury Superior Court.
