Correction

After receiving a report of a possible fire in the general vicinity of the town landfill late on the night of September 27, Botsford firefighters did locate a spontaneous combustion fire in a wood mulch pile at the landfill. They worked to extinguish the blaze. They responded to another call there about eight hours later, on the morning of September 28, after the fire in the mulch pile had rekindled.

A story in the September 30 edition incorrectly stated that the firefighters did not locate the mulch pile fire late on the night of September 27.
