Newtown United Methodist Church Members Planning Fall Craft Fair
Organizers are planning a Newtown United Methodist Church (NUMC) Fall Craft Fair, which will return this month to the cafetorium at Reed Intermediate School, 3 Trades Lane.
The event is planned for Saturday, October 16, from 10 am until 4 pm.
Barb Sibley is running the event, with her husband Rob “as co-pilot,” she said recently.
“Our annual showcase of local artisans has something for everyone, from our famous baked goods table to our silent auction, and of course table after table of handcrafted jewelry, woodwork, home decor, knitwear and textiles, pottery, all-natural personal care items,” Sibley said.
“There’s so much more, including TJ’s Designs, featuring one-of-a-kind beaded accessories to benefit Families United in Newtown, a local autism support group; stunning handmade items from our Quilters Club; and our fabulous baked goods table — it’s worth mentioning twice!” Sibley joked.
Lunch and snacks will also be available through NUMC’s food truck, she noted.
“We’re so happy to be doing the fair again, and can’t wait to welcome back the community,” she added.
Admission is free, and there is plenty of parking available at the school.
