Virginia Long
Virginia "Ginny" Bounty Long, 63, of Newtown, died suddenly September 30.
Her loving husband of 41 years, Roland Long; her mother and stepfather, Nancy and Bob Melson of San Marcos, Calif.; her sisters, Susan Oliver of Summerville, S.C., and Beth Mackenzie of Tiverton, R.I.; her brothers, Scott Bounty of Newtown and Tom Bounty of Ashford; her son, Roland Long, and his wife Elizabeth, of Heber City, Utah; and her three grandchildren, Aidan, Roland, and William, all of Heber City, survive her.
Her father, Richard Bounty, and a son, Travis Long, predeceased her.
Ms Long loved horses and dogs and worked with animals most of her life. She had recently retired from work at The Canine College in Redding.
A celebration of life will be conducted in her memory for immediate family.
