Cheryl Ann Boucher
Cheryl Ann Boucher, 56, died September 29 at her home in Unionville. Born February 3, 1958, she was the second child of her loving parents, Beverly R. (Purinton) and Paul D. Boucher of Sandy Hook.
She was a 1976 graduate of Newtown High School, and until 2011, she was a resident of Sandy Hook. Despite a physical handicap, Ms Boucher was proud to have worked for nearly 20 years in various clerical positions at Fairfield Hills Hospital, and was a retired State of Connecticut employee.
Ms Boucher was an avid reader, writer, and pet lover, who enjoyed time with family and friends. In the past few years she endeared herself to many friends and caregivers at her home in New Horizons Village, and served as an active leader of the Bo Bice online fan club. She attended many Bo Bice concerts, including the most recent one in Danbury, this past Labor Day.
Her parents; her sister Karen Dwinells, and her husband Mark, of Bethel, her brother Kurt Boucher, and his wife Nicole, of Hamden; two nephews and a niece; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members survive Ms Boucher. Her older sister, Robin (Boucher) Retalis, predeceased her.
The family will receive visitors for a time of remembrance at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Avenue, Bethel, from 10 to 11 am, Wednesday, October 8. Following a memorial service there will be a brief internment service at Wooster Cemetery in Danbury.
