Occupation: Iâm a professional musician. Iâm a vocalist and I play six- and 12-string guitar and piano. Iâve performed professionally for the last 25 years and have a new CD coming out the end of October called âAquamarine.â Itâs acoustic-driven pop.
Family: My mom and dad are Llewellyn, Sr and Marie Rowe of Newtown. I grew up and went to school here. I have an older brother, Llewellyn, Jr.
Pets: I have a Pomeranian named Trixie Belle and she rules the house. Sheâs 15 years old and sheâs a very vocal pup. Sheâs quite the diva.
How long have you been in Newtown? I just moved back to Newtown this year, after having been gone for about 20 years. My family moved here in 1964.
What do you like to do in your free time? I donât even know what free time is. I love to write music, though, so thatâs what I do.
Do you have a favorite musician? My real inspiration as a child and why I got into the business was John Denver, so I have to attribute what I do to him.
Do you have a favorite travel destination? My band and I have traveled a lot lately. In the past eight months we have been from L.A. to Key West, and up and down the East Coast. My favorite place is Key West right now. I love the people, the diversity, and the weather there.
What is the best thing about Newtown? That itâs home. Itâs the memories and the people.
If you could spend a day with anyone, who would that be? My niece, Katie. She is 13 years old and sheâs my shopping buddy.
What is the most exciting moment you have experienced? There have been so many ârock starâ moments that have been incredible, but I would have to say seeing my song on the charts with Melissa Etheridge and Sheryl Crowe and other famous artists. Iâve been really fortunate.
Do you have a personal philosophy? Itâs something my parents told me over and over again when I was growing up: To be a star, be what you are. Youâll never make it, if you fake it.
