DANBURY â Communicating effectively is a key leadership skill and the topic of the next Womenâs Forum on October 19 at the Danbury Hilton and Towers.
Womenâs Publishing, Inc. and Ruth Sherman will lend a workshop that will help participants identify and seize opportunities to communicate ideas and influence others; develop strategies to formulate and organize concise messages; increase persuasiveness through powerful nonverbal techniques; respond effectively to questions, objections and other challenges; and avoid vocal and verbal sabotage.
Ruth Sherman is president of Ruth Sherman Associates, a consulting and training company specializing in communication skills for executives, attorneys and other professionals.
This program is part of the Womenâs Forum Dinner Series produced by Womenâs Publishing, Inc. of Danbury and sponsored by the US Department of Labor Womenâs Bureau. The event, which is open to the public, starts at 6 pm with networking followed by a complete dinner and the speaker. Advance reservations are required.
