Sandy Hook resident Karina Wolfe has been named to the 1999 spring semester deanâs list at Marywood University, where she recently was awarded the Gene and Florian Zabach Endowed Scholarship for performing arts. She has also received the All-American Scholar Collegiate Award from The United States Achievement Academy and has been named to the national deanâs list. She is a music therapy major and a member of the university orchestra, music therapy club and cross-country team. She is a 1998 graduate of Newtown High School.
Tara Wolfe, the daughter of Val and Sue Wolfe of Mountain Laurel Lane, Sandy Hook, has been named to the spring semester deanâs list at Temple University. She is a music education major and as a senior has been named to the deanâs list each of her six semesters there. She is a violinist in the university symphony orchestra and is a member of the student chapter of the Music Educatorsâ National Conference and the Golden Key National Honor Society. She is a 1996 graduate of Newtown High School and the 1996 recipient of the Adele Reinschmidt Memorial Scholarship.
Alyson A. Harris has been notified by the University of Connecticut that she has been named to the deanâs list for the 1999 spring semester. She is a Newtown resident, and plans to major in early childhood education.
