Masonicare’s Homecare Operations

Renamed The Connecticut VNA

WALLINGFORD – Home health care agencies owned and operated by Masonicare, the state’s largest not-for-profit provider of senior-focused health and social services, have changed their names to the Connecticut VNA, announced Barry M. Spero, president and CEI, Masonicare.

“The new identity more accurately reflects the state-wide coverage and not-for-profit status of Masonicare’s home health operations, as well as streamlines administrative functions and simplifies access for our clients, providers and payers,” said Mr Spero.

Since 1997, Masonicare has worked to build a comprehensive home health care network through expansion and acquisition of local and regional providers, including Homecare, Inc., and OMNI Home Health Services, Inc. The result was the creation of the only statewide home health provider, backed by Masonicare’s extensive medical, therapeutic and social resources.

“We want our clients and associates in the healthcare profession to know that the Connecticut VNA continues to be committed to offering the same wonderful care and services that have been our trademark. We employ the same skilled, competent caregivers, but now we have one easy name to remember. Our goats are to simplify, eliminate confusion and reinforce our statewide presence and not-for-profit status,” said Donna R. Galluzzo, PhD, RD, president of the Connecticut VNA.

“Most importantly, we want to assure all of our constituents that the Connecticut VNA is committed to being a team of caring, responsive, patient-driven individuals, dedicated to delivering excellence in home health care,” Dr Galluzzo declared.

The Connecticut VNA will be headquartered at 33 Industrial Plains Road, Wallingford, CT, 06492, 203/679-5200.
