Madeline E. Edyk

Madeline E. Edyk, 89, of 75 Rita Drive, New Fairfield, wife and soulmate of 59 years of the late Harry A. Edyk, died on October 4 at Ashlar of Newtown.

Mrs Edyk was born in Castine, Me., June 21, 1910, a daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Witham) Leach.

She attended schools in Maine.

A loving spouse, beloved mother, gentle grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and trusted friend, her love for her family and friends was her reason for being.

She was a resident of Newtown since 1972, coming from Norwalk.

She is survived by three daughters: Lorraine Trundy Brown of Rockport, Me., Katherine Craig and her spouse, Ronald, of Woodbury, and Justine E. Craw and her spouse, Terence, of New Fairfield; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services took place on October 6 in the Baptist Church of Danbury, 14 Granville Avenue.

Burial will take place in Gerow Cemetery, New Fairfield, at the convenience of the family.
