AlL-MOZART, ALL THE TIME: The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center will bring the glorious sound of an all-Mozart concert to Fairfield University’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts when it returns for its eighth season on Saturday, October 16. The 8 pm concert is the first of a three-concert series by the society this season. Guest artists will include Paul Neubauer on viola, seen here, along with violinist/conductor Joseph Silverstein, cellist Fred Sherry and pianist Lee Luvisi. Tickets are $30 each. A RARE TREAT AT GOODSPEED: Musical theatre fans are in for a rare treat when the final production of Goodspeed Musicals’ 1999 season opens this weekend. Beginning Friday, October 8, and continuing through December 19 is the 1966 Broadway musical The Apple Tree. From the Garden of Eden to the glamour of Hollywood, man and woman are tempted by forbidden fruit in this sexy musical comedy by the authors of Fiddler on the Roof. Among the Broadway veterans in principal roles is Joanna Glushak, who plays a poor chimney sweep who finds herself transformed into the movie star Passionella. Performances are Wednesday through Sunday, and tickets run $20 to $43. For information, contact the box office of the East Haddam opera house at 860/873-8668.
