The next meeting of the Genealogy Club of Newtown will be Wednesday, October 12, at C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street.

Meetings start promptly at 7, but those planning to attend are invited to arrive early to converse with other genealogists, and enjoy some light refreshments.

The guest speaker for October will be Penny Hartzell, who will offer a presentation on "Researching in The Empire State and The Big Apple."

In addition to monthly meetings, longtime member and professional genealogist Harlan Jessup is available on Monday afternoons between 2 and 4 pm for help with research. A dedicated computer in the library's Genealogy Room is available during library hours, to access Ancestry.com and other research sites.

For additional information about the meeting/program or the club in general, contact Mr Jessup at 203-426-3981 or Bea Morgan at 203-304-1861. Additional information is also available online, at rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ctgnc/
