Edward Heath
Edward “Al” Heath, 62, of Newtown died September 29 at the VA Hospital in West Haven. He was born April 4, 1953, in Norwalk, and was a son of the late Regina (Russell) and Aurelius Heath.
A longtime resident of Newtown, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to hike the trails in Newtown and surrounding areas. He was a volunteer with the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard’s “Saddle Up for Life” program.
He served his country in Vietnam, as a crew chief in the US Air Force.
His wife, Deborah (Pollard) Heath; his two children, Edward and Heather; two grandchildren, Hailey and Debrah; and several nieces and nephews survive Mr Heath. His brother, Gerald Heath, predeceased him.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, October 10, at 11 am, at the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard, 4 Wildlife Drive, Newtown.
