Nicholas     Skuba

Nicholas Skuba, 91, formerly of Bridgeport, now of Melbourne, Fla., died September 26. He was born in Lansford, Penn., to Suzanne and Anthony Skuba.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, Marguerite Hornak Skuba; three devoted children and their spouses, Robert and Diane Skuba of Newtown, Margaret Ruot of Dary, Fla., and Marybeth and Kevin Donohue of Melbourne; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Nicholas Adam Skuba, grandson Adam James Luckachina, and son-in-law Gary Ruot.

Mr Skuba was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during World War II, and a retired correctional officer for the State of Connecticut.

Funeral services took place October 2. Interment with full military honors was in St John’s Cemetery, Stratford.
