NHS Principal Slates Social Media Discussion For Parents

On Thursday, October 11, from 7 pm to 8 pm, Newtown High School Principal Charles Dumais is scheduled to discuss in the high school Lecture Hall the school’s recent endeavor in exploring the use of social media as a communication and instructional tool for educators and students. Mr Dumais announced the program on the high school’s blog, dumais.us/newtown/blog.

Parents are invited by the school to learn about the positive impact that the effective and appropriate use of social media can have on education. According to the blog, Twitter, digital citizenship, and professional learning networks will be discussed.
