Letters Of Endorsement

To the Editor:

As we approach an election that is being heralded by grand drama at the federal level, it is important to remember our local races, which are less dramatic but no less important.

Lisa Romano is running to represent Newtown in Hartford. Besides being smart and knowledgeable, Lisa is a longtime Newtown resident who has worked and volunteered here and knows our issues and challenges. She knows firsthand about our economic problems for the workforce and for small businesses, about the need for job creation and strengthening of small businesses, about our schools and our environmental issues. She has young children growing up in town and understands well the importance of ensuring that all of our children are prepared for a global economy.

Lisa will work hard for all of these issues in Hartford so that Newtown can be a healthy, vibrant community that we all enjoy. Many of you have already met Lisa and she is very open to discussing the issues with you. I plan to vote for Lisa and I encourage every voter here to do likewise.
