KAA Paint-Out & Auction

KENT — The Kent Art Association annual paint-out and auction will take place Saturday, October 6.

Artists can register at the 21 South Main Street gallery at 9 am. The event will run rain or shine. Cost is $20 to participate ($10 KAA members), and a 50 percent commission will be taken by KAA on all sales during the auction.

Artists will then have six hours to create a new work. Finished works — framed and wired for hanging — will be delivered to the gallery at 3 pm.

For the public, an artwork preview and reception will begin at 3. Hors d’oeuvres provided by the Fife ‘n Drum Restaurant of Kent will be available.

The auction, a major fundraiser for the gallery, begins at 4 pm. Del Bourree-Bach is this year’s auctioneer.
