Funding A College Education
On Tuesday, October 9, at 7 pm in the main auditorium, the Guidance Department at Newtown High School will be hosting a program on understanding college funding options.
Parents of elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school students are invited to attend in order to learn the following:
*Ways to maximize financial aid eligibility
*How one may be able to save for college tax-deferred or tax-free, and other opportunities created by the new tax law
*How to best use low interest government loans
*Creative strategies for funding college costs
*The four primary sources of college funding
*College investment strategies and current market outlook
The seminar will be conducted by Charles Wareham, LPL, financial officer of Wareham and Associates in Hartford. This is not a sales presentation, but a high value information session for all parents regardless of the age of oneâs children, and highly recommended by the Guidance Department.
