DMV Schedule For Columbus Day
All Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) full-service offices will change their scheduled operating hours the weekend for the Columbus Day holiday.
Offices will be open on Friday, October 5, from 8 am to 12:30 pm only. They will be closed on Saturday, October 6.
As a reminder, DMV offices are closed on Mondays.
DMV photo licensing centers and satellite offices in Derby, Stamford, Putnam, and Winsted will have the same hours as listed above for full-services offices. The Waterbury satellite office in Brass Mill Center Mall will be open 9 am until 1:30 on Friday, and closed on Saturday. The Middletown office (on Main Street) will have the same hours as Waterbury.

Through the website and phone center, customers can find specific information 24 hours a day on a nondriver identification, change of address, and change of name. In addition, the website provides details regarding vehicle tax questions, records information, forms, emissions, inspection, operatorâs licenses, titles and registrations, and directions to DMV branch offices and photo license centers. It also supplies details on boating registrations, handicapped driver training, commercial vehicle safety, and instructions on how to file a complaint against a dealer or repairer.
